Assistant Minister Li Rongcan addressed Trade and Finance Development Seminar 2011

  

Trade and Finance Development Seminar was held on May 24 in Westin Hotel, Financial Street, Beijing. It was jointly sponsored by International Business Daily, Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation and University of International Business and Economics, and organized by International Business Daily. Li Rongcan, Assistant Minister of Commerce, attended and addressed the Seminar.

Specialists and scholars from Ministry of Commerce, State Administration of Foreign Exchange, People’s Bank of China, China and foreign banks, import and export enterprises, institutions of higher learning, research institutions are present at the Seminar. The theme of the Seminar is “promoting cooperation and innovation of in trade and finance, and seeking new opportunities”. Over 20 Chinese and foreign experts made presentations at four workshops: enterprises’ needs and problems, resolutions for banks, analysis for trade and finance business of banks, cross border financing to promote enterprise “going out”. They made in-depth analysis on trade and finance issues in an all-round way, discussed resolutions, and some brought up questions to think over. The Seminar came from practice, rose to theory level and came back to the practice of banks and enterprises, with clear aim and practicability.

Representatives from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Handan Bank, and Veolia Environment Group attended the Seminar and spoke highly of the Seminar, regarding it as a multi-aspect and multi-angle platform for discussion and communication. Governmental departments, banks, enterprises, universities and colleges, and research institutions would together implement the spirit of Circular of People’s Bank of China, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Finance on further Promoting Trade and Financing Development (No.354, 2010), so as to boost the healthy development of trade and finance cause.
